Mrs. Ballmes
Hello! My name is Mrs. Ballmes and I am the STEM Teacher. The acronym for STEM stands for Science. Technology. Engineering. Math.
STEM activities integrates all six subjects into a cohesive learning experience based on real-world applications. During STEM activities, students are prompted to engage in the “Engineering Design Process”. Following this process students will ask questions, imagine the possibilities, communicate and collaborate with others, plan, create and improve.
Why STEM?
STEM encourages independent and collaborative learning. It allows children to develop their communication and problem-solving and encourages students to talk and write about their ideas and observations. This kind of educational environment enables students to develop concepts through investigation and exploration.
STEM is an interactive, hands on, fun experience had by all!
