The Library Ladies

Hi, my name is Eileen Wroczynski (also known as “Mrs. Wro”).  I’m a volunteer Library Lady in the SMS school library, located above the gym in the parish center. I’ve been having fun helping students here since September 2023, working alongside volunteer Library Lady Janet D’Arcangelis (Mrs. D!). SMS is special to me because my family has belonged to the parish since moving to Guilderland in December 1986. I hope that I’m setting an example for children to read with expression and enthusiasm!

Hi, I am Janet D’Arcangelis. I have been a volunteer librarian at the SMS School library since 2023. Eileen Wroczynski and I volunteer together and we are known as the “Library Ladies”, or Mrs. D. and Mrs. Wro. to the students.

I have been a parishioner at SMS Church for about 40 years. I retired from the Guilderland School District several years ago, after working there for over 25 years. I worked with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, both in classrooms and in the reading department. Each week when the students visit the SMS library, we enjoy introducing them to new books, authors, and genres, as well as share fun read aloud stories. We hope to get the students excited about books and inspire in them a love of reading.
